Hi, i have tried looking for the births of Mary hodgetts Children, Phebe Hodgets 1828c, Martha Hodgets 1832c, and Mary Hodgets 1840. I cant find them can anyone else please take a look, I must be missing something, I thought I might get the fathers name which would be a real find as I have never found a marriage for their mother.
Please help if you can
Cheers
Kathy

Hi lost, I have looked at that one, but not sure what to make of the fact when Mary married her first husband, James Dainty she named her father as William hodgetts, I have the cert, when she married the 2nd time she named her father as William siviter, I have that cert as well. I think this one will end up as a brick wall as I dont know what to think.

thanks for all your help on this line, you are all stars
Kathy

Hi Kathy

I would think on the first marriage cert she named her father as WiIliam Hodgetts to look respectable, she was perhaps only slightly bending the truth. As she was a widow for the second marriage it didn't matter that her surname was different to that of her father so she could give her real fathers name. Or it could be when asked her fathers name she said William and the minister just put Hodgetts as that was her surname.

Regards
LfW

Hi, still working on this line, can anyone find the death of Lucy Siveter, she was alive on the 1861 census. I have tried BMd and LDS, but she is not on there. It would be the same area. Staffordshire or Worcester.
Many thanks for all your help on this line, your a god send
Best wishes
