Hello Margaret Rose and A Happy New Year to you.
You have kindly helped me before and I am now looking for Hadland's from Ambrosden/Great Haseley from about 1800- 1850. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Margaret

Me again, hope you don't mind...

I have just been looking on Ancestry.com for a Frank Evans birth in Oxford, and one came up in qtr 3 1918 in Headington which could be the one.

Would you be able to look this birth/baptism up for me please? I noticed on the map that Headington is near to Cowley, so fingers crossed.

Thank you once again for your help, it is very kind of you.

Kindest regards

Dee

Hi Margaret,Try to trace any information about Hannah Bullock born 1869 in Peppard Oxen, prior to her marrage to Frederick Charles Grover in 1894 in Reading. Any information regarding her parents would very useful. Regards Keith.

Hi Margaret

This isn't a request for a look up, just one big enormous THANK YOU. You did a successful look up for me last summer which spurred me into investing in my own cd's. I've now found loads more of my family which will probably keep me very busy this year.

Once again thank you and may 2009 bring you all you wish for

Hi Margaret Rose

Thank you for looking Frank Evans up; unsure if this is the same Frank although obviously possible. As I am starting from Frank Evans c1920, I have nothing else to check with, and this is skipping a generation. I will look up on the Census and see if I can find a match.

Many thanks for your kindness.

Kind regards

Dee

DEE
there is a Frank Evans baptised 25/8/1891 Saints Mary and John in Cowley Oxon, son of Francis Elijah and Harriet born 7/8/1891
If you think this is the father of your elusive Frank Evans c 1920 let me know.

Hi Margaret Rose

Thanks anyway, I understand...

Are there many parishes in the town of Oxford itself, rather than the whole of Oxfordshire?

Kind regards

Dee

Margaret Report 30 Dec 2008 14:11

DEE
There are far too many parishes in Oxfordshire to search for an individual one in 1920, sorry

Dee

Dee Report 30 Dec 2008 14:06

Hi Margaret Rose

Thanks for your kind offer...

You may not be able to assist here, because I do not know which parish in Oxford this person came from, but he was born c1920. Are there many parishes in Oxford?

His name was Frank Evans and his father's name was also Frank Evans.

If it is not too much of a tall order, I would be pleased to hear from you.

Kindest regards and a very Happy New Year to you.

Hello Margaret.
Thank you for your time and help it was much appreciated.
I think anyone born Play Hatch might be recorded at Sonning
Regards Alan.

Margaret Report 14 Dec 2008 19:06

ALAN sorry I do not have Whitchurch, and I can find no record of a parish called Play Hatch
The IGI gives a marriage for John Lewendon 9/1/1836 to Helena Hopkins at St Thomas A Becket Goring, and he is buried 30/6/1850 at St Marys Whitchurch but the IGI gives no place of birth.
