Thanks for looking Margaret.... I wonder if he may have been baptised elsewhere? He gives his birthplace as 'Milton by Burford' on the census forms, which I thought would be Milton Under Wychwood. |

Thanks for message Margaret.Another contact, Elizabeth says she cannot find Ann Townsend , born c.1825 in Bicester.i don`t know her parents name.It`s confusing because her children all have the name Townsend, yet i don`t know who she married. in the census files she always seems to be a Townsend and there isn`t a husband around. i suupose if a marriage between a man called Townsend in Bicester to a woman called Ann by1860 could be found that would help. she had a daughter called Ida born in Bicester about 1864. perhaps ida`s birth record would give her father`s name.this probably doesn`t make any sense but any help is appreciated |
