I think Christine found this match as well but then wasn't sure because she found children born after 1918. |

There's no way of knowing for sure unless you buy the cert, it would show his father's name so if that matched your details then it would be the John Walker you're after. If you bought it from the Stoke on Trent register office and explain that you're not sure if it's the couple you want but that if his father is shown as William then it is - I'm sure they would only provide the cert if that did match up. |

I've had a look through the indexes and while there are a couple of John Walker's getting married in the Stoke on Trent area I can't see any that match up with an Annie. |

Am I right in saying that Burslem would be part of Stoke on Trent because if so I don't think either of the marriages I found would be him, but that's on FreeBMD so the records aren't complete. |
