My Grandfather was George Henry Clark born Louth 16/08/1916 his father was Charles Clark and his mother was Alice Taylor I have the birth certificate but I am having trouble going back from here.

In the 1901 census I have
Wife Alice Clark 29 born Hatcliffe, Lincs
Daughter Alice L Clark 2 born Lincs, Grimsby
Head Charles S Clark 31 Herts, Ware
Son Chas S Clark 5 Lincs, Grimsby
I have different threads going back from Alice and Charles so I am very confused,

I found a birth for Charles S Ware, Herts so sent off for birth certificate and it shows Father Jabez and Mother Elizabeth which I can find on 1881 census but on birth cert is says place of birth Thunderidge.

I think possibly Thunderidge and Ware are close together so it could still be correct

Im just so confused

I have tried everything and everyone but so far no info. My ggrandather was George Fletcher b 9/5/1861 and his wife Ellen Armitage 2/2/1860. I cannot find out what their parents names were or if they had any siblings.They were married on 9/8/1883 at St Barnabas Hull ref HBA/2/190 (can't remember where I got that from) Their birth dates and actual marriage dates were in an old family bible but that's as far back as it goes.
They had a son George Harold Fletcher born 18/7/1884
Any help woukd be appreciated.
