Also need to find death for Leah, between 1831 and 1841.

Hang on just a sec.
Elizabeth HARRIS - International Genealogical Index Gender: Female Birth: 06 OCT 1842 Webheath, Worcester, England Father: David HARRIS Mother: Emma HILL
Letitia HARRIS - International Genealogical Index Gender: Female Birth: 24 MAY 1844 Redditch, Worcester, England Father: David HARRIS Mother: Emma HILL
Martha Harris - International Genealogical Index Gender: Female Birth: About 1857 Redditch, Worcester, England
You sometimes find two dates of birth and in slightly different places as people sometimes registered the birth of a child in father's parish and mother's parish. You also have to be careful as some are not birth dates, but christening dates.

You need to print this all off now and put it into order so that you can see what is missing.
Hope it's all helped, it all seems to fit anyway.
Going to make a cup of tea now! Regards Catherine

Catherine - what can I say!! I had some of this but by no means all, so thank you from the bottom of my heart. It is a bit confusing - I assume David married twice, Or maybe he didn't marry Emma at all! (Don't know what the marriage to Emma Harris is all about!) I'm sure you are right about Clement in 1901 - who can blame him for calling himself William.(Sorry any Clements out there!) Many thanks again. Jan

Hello Jan, Glad to help. It's always nice when info matches and this research wasn't too difficult, with a name like Harris I was expecting it to be spelt in all kinds of ways but here there wasn't too much problem. It would seem that David married Leah, she died and he married Emma in 1842 but don't know why I can't find anything on bmd, but then bmd records are not complete. With the christening record of Elizabeth and Letitia at least you know her maiden name was Hill. When I have a bit of time I'll try and find something that matches. Regards Catherine

Catherine - just wanted to thank you again and to tell you that thanks to the 1901 census find I have made contact with a Powell relative - namely Clement William's grandson! It got a bit complicated because of their tendency to use 2nd names, but we got there in the end. As this is the 1st Powell contact for us both, it is very special to me. thanks so much. Jan x
