Louise Emily Fox was the infant daughter of Henry and Amelia.
15/8/1909 Emily Amelia Fox, 3 weeks, died of 'Bronchile capillaire' (my French isn't good enough to translate but pretty obviously something wrong with her lungs), notified by Amelia Connor, present at the death.
Looked up the birth just to be sure
14/7/1909 at 8, Pier Rd, Emily Amelia, daughter of Charles Henry Fox, Journalier (day labourer) and Amelia Esther Maud Connor.
Hope this is what you wanted

Hi Pam,
Thankyou for the speedy response. So looking at the dates Emily must have been one of their first and like so many back then did not make it to adult hood. I can't thank you enough as she is another one to add to their 14 other children.

Gina I couldn't find anything in the parishes so I went back to St Helier and extended the time frame a bit in both directions. I found a George William Salmon who died between Jan 1968 and Dec 1969. There is an Ellen Elizabeth Salmon between 1973 and 1974. I think this is yours because the Archive also hold a record of probate for the same lady giving maiden name Hutchinson. I could not find any records for Brian at all. There are very few Salmon deaths, the only other ones I found were Ann 1937-1939 Frank 1951-1953 Katherine Ella 1953-1956
I can look up further details of George and Ellen but as it means going to another office it will have to wait for another day.

Hi Pam
It does sound like my George and Ellen. I would very much like any other info regarding them both when you have the chance. Can you also get the Probate details?
regards gina

OK Gina - I'll do my best
I think there were probate records for both George and Ellen but some were closed. The George that had probate records lived at 72 Bath St, St Helier. Pam

Carter I have found the birth reference for a Thomas Henry Williams in St Helier between 1/8/1891 and 29/12/1892.
I need to go to another office to look up the full reference but I'll try and get on to it next week.
Worked back a bit and found a marriage for a Thomas Williams, again in St Helier between Nov 1887 and Sept 1891. Cross-referencing it the only Esther who seems to match, (same page number) is Esther Elizabeth Laugee.
Again I'll look up the full details next week.

Hi Pam
Thanks very much for the kind offer of lookups in Jersey. I am trying to find the following (please tell me if this is too much work):
Death of Thomas Neil probably between 1871-1881 as he is on the 1871 census in St Saviour but I can't find him in 1881.
Marriage of Tom Albert Neil to Helena (or Elenor) probably not long before the 1871 census as she is 21 on that census and they don't have any children at that point. They are in St Martin on the census but she gives her place of birth as St Brelade. If you find the marriage do you think you could look up Helena's birth for me.
Births of Tom and Helena's children. From the censuses I have: Elenor c1871 Priscilla c1872 Ada c1873 Albert c1875 Bessie c1877 Henry/Harry c1878 Grace c1881 May c1883 Edmund c1884 Walter c1886 Ivy c1890 Donald c1895
According to the censuses Elenor was born in St Martin and all the others were born in St Helier. If you find any others, that would be great.
Very much appreciated Katherine

Hello Ann I have looked through the records for all 12 parishes plus the non-conformist churches. The only Fitzpatricks I could find in the right time frame were baptized at St Mary and St Peter's RC church and did not include a Catherine. Out of interest they were Simon 1814 John 1815 Peter 1819
Parents Simon and Ann (formerly McMahon)

Gina Deaths 10/9/1969 - George William Salmon, aged 76, retired. Cause of death - myocardinal infarction due to coronary occlusion, arterio sclerosis, chronic pyelonephritis. Informant was the funeral director, J Barette Le Quesne
20/10/1973 - Ellen Elizabeth Hutchinson, widow of George William Salmon, aged 63. Cause of death - liver failure Informant was the funeral director, Dennis Pitcher.
I haven't had a chance to go back to the Archive yet to look up the wills, it may have to wait until next week as we've people visiting this week.
If you've got any other clues about Brian I'll give him another go at the same time.

Your a STAR. No rush with info on the wills, so whenever you get a chance. As for Brian, i am stumped. I have always been told that he was reasonably young when he died as he had severe brain damage. Not sure whether he died before his parents or not?

Hello Carter Here (I hope) is the information that you wanted.
Marriage - Jan 3rd 1891 Thomas Williams, aged 20, Bachelor, Drummer 1st South Lancashire Regiment, living at Fort Regent (army barracks at the time) born Sutton Lancashire. Father Benjamin Williams, Blacksmith Esther Elizabeth Laugée, aged 18, Spinster, Domestic Servant, living at St Andrews, born St Helier. Father John Edward Laugée, Labourer.
Birth - 8th Nov 1891 at 25 Pier Rd Thomas Henry son of the above. Informant Eliza Smyth of 12 Pier Rd, present at the birth. (I think she was a midwife as I'm sure I've come across that name before)
The Laugée family are on the 1891 census where oddly Esther is down as being single (might have to check that marriage entry again, maybe my French let me down!). I can check the parents births and marriage if you want as they occurred after 1842 when formal record keeping began over here.
All the best
Pam
