Good morning one and all and many thanks for the input - really very, very grateful.
Won't say a word to Fanny Sylvia! I suppose it is possible that Nancy is Annie - what with Jervis/Jarvis/Gervies/Gervis and Duckitt/Duckett, is it any wonder I am puddled with this lot??
Sorry Rose, it was late last night and I was puddled (see above), I meant Annie stated she was 61 in 1911......not Elizabeth.
Mary, please don't worry about posting the info again....I sometimes need to have things hammered home.......ask Fanny!
Again, many thanks - do you think I should do an alteration on Freebmd???
Cx.
Edit. Just had a thought, Annie named one of her other daughters Betsy, so that would tie in with her mother possibly.

How old is Elizabeth in 1911 and who were the witnesses to her marriage?

Just going through door, car keys in hand....daughter phones to say she is running late.....I have an extra 10 mins would you believe?? lol
Right, Elizabeth states that she was 28 in 1911 making her birth 1883, so I guess she lied about her age on her marriage cert.
Her sister Julia was registered as Jarvis ...must be something to do with the Scouse accent!!
The witnesses were a) Elizabeth Deakin and b) Thomas Lewis.
They named their last child Thomas Lewis Taylor but unfortunately he was nicknamed Ben because he was tall - (Big Ben I presume). He was just known in the family as Ben. I spent ages last year looking for a Benjamin Taylor............arghhh my time is up - must fly. Thanks. Cx.

Hi Cynthia
I know its a long shot but how about this entry
Births Mar 1884 (>99%) --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Jervis Elizabeth Prescot 8b 750
Prescot is not too far away from Liverpool may be there was family there.

Sticks oar in again........;)
I think Elizabeth has to be this one
Births Sep 1883 Jarvis Elizabeth Ann Toxteth Park 8b 187
Because...............................................
1881 the family are in Toxteth reg district and still there in 1891....
Cynth sent for it but specified a maiden name for mother which we now know to have been the wrong one, hence her order was partially refunded.
Thats my view anyway..
Now waits to be shot down in flames..
Aww SyviaIC,,,I do like you x x x

FBG
I learnt a long time ago to Never! put any checking points or parents names etc because if it's not EXACTLY the same as what's on the cert they say it's not the right one :-((( I did it the once and got a partial refund.....re-ordered it and of course it was the right one, never done it since LOL.

Me exactly the same Mary.
For the partial refund its not worth it anyway in my opinion as you may as well get the cert and know for sure either way.
Opinionated today am I not...??
Going to do some work now .
Maybe ~~~~

You opinionated? Nah. hahahahahahha I'm not sure about that birth you know. She doesn't actually appear anywhere with a middle initial that I can think of. I'm wondering about the June one without the initial.
Barbara, thank you very much for your input but I'm pretty sure that the family never got as far away (!) as Prescot! All entries are mainly Toxteth Park or West Derby.
By the by, I looked on Lancashire bmd for the marriage and John's name is spelled Gervis and Annie is down as Eliza !!! I can't win can I??
Just having some lunch and then out again....it's all go here! Cx

WELL.........
You are the one who included Ann in your opener for miss Jervis.
Which was why I was searching for one..Hmmm...sulks now.
But I do find that gut instinct often comes up with the goods,so try yours Cynth.
Its only £9.25p to be wrong............................................................................................................ or right ..:)
