	on freebmd there was only 2 Henry Short's showing up marrying a Jane , The other one was married in Sussex Libby

Member Since: July 2004 Posts: 39 Send Message	Portland Rose Ok. in 1910 census my grandmother Ellen Jones 14 was living with Elizabeth Keane and marked as grand-daughter. I have traced back that Ellens's mother was called Emma and her mother was Jane. Jane is older than Elizabeth Keane by 6 years and I now Jane died in 1900. I think Elizabeth was jane's sister and then reared Ellen as her 'grand-daughter' not her great niece. Does this make sense toyou? Pat

	To be sure you need to get Emma's birth cert. but it looks like Jane Burgham is her mother. Births Mar 1865 Short Emma Monmouth 11a 18 Rose
