Can someone help. I am trying to fnd the maiden name of my gg grandmother. |She was born Jane ? Colford, Gloucester and married Henry |Short between 1856-1860 I am convinced that the lady calling herself my gg grandmother and Jane were sisters. I am trying to find if there is a link with theirt#r name.

i believe they lived at Joyford Hill Coleford Gloucester. I believe that to be monmouthshire but not sure whether it would come under Bedwellty

Ok. in 1910 census my grandmother Ellen Jones 14 was living with Elizabeth Keane and marked as grand-daughter. I have traced back that Ellens's mother was called Emma and her mother was Jane. Jane is older than Elizabeth Keane by 6 years and I now Jane died in 1900. I think Elizabeth was jane's sister and then reared Ellen as her 'grand-daughter' not her great niece.
