Thanks for that info - I am,however, not convinced that is the right Harriet as we have no knowledge of her having a twin and the Betty Cook would have been her twin as she is the same age. Harriet lived til she was in her 80's so i am sure there would have been some mention of her and she was deffo born in 1893. Her Birth record comes up top on Ancestry but it is weird as to why there are no census records on her or Alfred. I have addresses for them both for later years but i guess they are no use yet either due to the privacy of the Census past 1901.
I do know that my GGF Alfred Lidington was a Sheet Metal Worker.
Thanks for anything else you can find.

hi sophie This is so kind of you
Would you mind looking for a Rosina Osborne born in Bournemouth . (On the 1901 census it has her aged 25 so her year of birth would be circa 1876)
Her marriage record has her listed as Rose --------------------------------------------------------------------- Also if Im not being really cheeky I want to find my gg grandad whose name is Albert James Gregory and was born in Radstock 1874 (aged 27 in 1901) -----------------------------------------------------------------
Ive been trying for ages and am doing something wrong
Thanks so much cath x

Hi Sophie
Please could you help me? I am trying to find information on a Richard John Cleeve. He was my grandfather and all I know so far is that he was born in Wellington, Somerset. His first wife was called Kathleen Sylvia Tuck born abt 1910. They had 2 sons Rodney & David.
Many thanks and kindest regards

Hi Sophie, Trying to find anything about William Henry Billard born about 1867 and his partner (dont think they married) Sarah Battley. They had 10. children Hilda Q to Sept 1888 called Battley not Billard, Jane/Jennie 1890, John, Annie, Ethel, Emma, Emily, Ada, Harry Arthur . I think there was one more but no one knows his name. William Henry had a file shop in Burnaby Street Sheffield. Have got most of the kids birth years except the youngest boy, but dont know where Sarah or William Henry originated. Not sure if this is too little information, just thought Id try. Thanks June

Hi Sophie
I am looking for details of my GGP's parents. This is the information i hold about my GGP's:
GGF - Alfred Lidington - born 1894 - died 1854 (in cornwall we believe) but lived in London. Married Harriet (one "t")Grace Cook in 1915.
GGM - Harriet was born in Holborn, London in 1893. Died 1977 on Isle of Wight
They had a son called Alfred Joseph Lidington in 1917 and he married Lilian Caket in Shoreditch.
I am trying to look for ways of finding the family names and surnames of both but not having much luck. I know i could pay for certs but trying to do as much as poss without paying!!
Any help would be good.
Thanks in advance
Carol

Hi Sophie, I have tried putting my own request on this section but it hasn't appeared, so I am hoping you might be able to help. I am looking for a marriage certificate for Percival Aldridge to Florence Hassall (might be Wright) (or might be Day). They would have been married about 1940 give or take a year or two. It was somewhere in the Aylesbury area. Not much to go on but hope you can help. Thank you. Carole
