Hi i am trying to find the brothers (Well it would be thier family's now) of my Grandfather Edward (Teddy) Ellerton ( Nickname Spike) born in Darlington in 1901 he had brothers called Wilfrid,Norman,Sidney?
I know he moved from Darlington to Liverpool around 1914/15 when his mother died!
And went to sea with the merchant navy aroud 1915/1916
Father's name was John C Ellerton an engineer working for the Darlington railway,
1 Emigrated to Canada don't know what year
Another possibly emigrated to Australia?
Another moved to the wirral.
My grandfather was a seaman in the merchant navy and a prisoner of war for 5 years his wifes name was Anastasia (Annie) They where married in west derby Liverpool.1923
My grandfather did stop of at Australia on a few occasion's to visit his Brother as far as i know.
If any one can assimilate with any of the above i would be gratefull for any contact
