As per margarets msg if its 100% the william married surname hale then i have the wrong mum and dad as this ref number i have for some reason i think i have been given the wrong information in the first instance. |

Thats why its always essential to buy the certs to confirm the line or you can be on a wild goose chase. I guess the baby Elizabeth born 1860 (in the 1861) must have died. |

maybe this is why i didnt have her heather, i will dig them certs out in the mean time i have deleted my info as you say unlikely devon couple went to london and vice versa, i know the census info you gave is my family just dont know what went wrong this end in the first place lol |

ok perhaps bodding is eliza's maiden name? as the gr member who told me about the incorrect wife has redding but i cannot find a redding marriage so bodding maybe? |

May be Eliza had been married before. Have you checked for all the William Maslin marriage in the right areas? Or may be they never married. But as you say its odd that she doesnt turn up anywhere. Its back to the birth cert of the kids. |
