There's a Lakin family in Crich in 1901. No address given, They're John 44? and wife Mary Ann 42. He was born Shepshed, Leicestershire and she in Crich. |

Just a thought, Rose. On Jessie's birth certificate, is the writing very bad? Could the mother's name possibly be Frances Amelia Eaton instead of Frances Violet Lakins? I'm really clutching at straws here! |

It is confusing, isn't it? I don't understand, if Frances married Job Nightingale Hopkinson in 1906 and Jessie was born in 1907, her father would automativally be registered as Job, wouldn't he? |
