I am trying to find records of the ancestry of William Masterson who married Maud Ormisher (Ormesher). He was a labourer in Lancashire, born approximately 1889. Maud was born around 1888. They had a son Joseph, and William died sometime before Joseph's wedding to Lillian in 1938. I believe Maud was from Ormskirk, but I can find no records of their marriage. I'd be grateful for any information on William and Maud's ancestry if possible, as I have some information but I dont know if it's correct. Many thanks, Kate |

Joseph was born approximstely 1912 in Lancashire, possibly Blackburn, and spent his youth as a groom at Newmarket stables. He later moved to the North East (Redcar) where he died approximately 1989. Hope that helps. Kate |

Hi K, of course you are right. I unfortunately am trying to research so many of my ancestors that the cost of appying for certificates is prohibitive just now. For the same reason I cant afford to buy credits to view census and other records. I really appreciate the efforts of my co-researchers on GR as they have helped me out no end. It gets hard when I get a few results for the same person and cant distinguish who is the correct person, as it is for us all I'm sure. I just want to thank everyone in advance who takes the time to help. Kate |
