Hi Danielle,
If you could, can you check for Eliza Elizabeth Taylor? She was born in West Ham, Essex in 1891 and her maiden name was Siewertsen. She married a man named John William Joyce but was widowed shortly after. She then married George Albert Taylor, an Australian who lists his occupation on their marriage certificate as a groom. George is listed as 38 years old on May 18th 1919. They married in England and had a daughter named Lily Elizabeth Mary Taylor, born 5/3/1920 in West Ham. The birth certificate shows George as being a fur skin dresser and ex-army. Some time after this birth they moved over to Australia with Eliza's son from her first marriage, John Horace Joyce/Taylor who was born 01/06/1914.
I have been trying to trace an area and descendants for years and have had no luck. Any help you can offer will be appreciated.
Thank you
Janine

Hi Danielle. The Augustus Nurse born 1897,Cardiff,Wales, I mentioned earlier married and had a son Patrick, who survived, in Australia. The mother died ,we are told in or post Childbirth with Patrick. My Uncle from Cardiff,Wales met them in Australia in1950.
The George Albert Nurse c 1866[my great gran uncle]was a Soldier[Marine] who left London for Sydney on the "Ormonde",19 may 1920.He had a wife Lily c 1868,England and children George 1893,Percy 1895 and lilian 1902 all born England.
I know it's a tall order but this is the only info I have. Are there many Nurse familie's in your info?. Best Regard's,Cass

Hello Cassidy Sorry still not having any luck I'm afraid. There are only 2 George Nurse's coming up, one George Nurse in Western Australia who is from 1901 onwards and a Stanley George Nurse in Tasmania from 1914 onwards. I also checked the NSW BDM and cant find a death record for him in NSW either. If you can think of anything else that might help locate him just let me know.

Hi Wendy Yes I have a Aunt Mary who is called Minnie. I wasnt sure about the John either as in your request you say John is the father of Ronald, but later mention Colin which I believe is correct. I am quite certain the Colin and Minnie I found are the family you are looking for as the place and names both match with the service record found on the National Archives site.
Electoral Role - 1924 Moonee Ponds Colin Harrower - 52 Dean Street. (Occ-Engineer) Minnie Harrower - same address (home duties)
1931 - Corio Colin Harrower - Montana, Birdwood Street. Keilor (engineer) Minnie Harrower - same address (home duties)
1936 - Maribyrnong Yarraville Colin Harrower - 14 Tongue Street (Mechanic) Minnie Harrower - same address (home duties)
Best Wishes Danielle

Thanks Danielle
Not sure that this John is the correct one as he would roughly be the same age as Robert with Colin being their father.
At least i got Roberts date of birth. Colin's wife was called Mary Jane do you think she could have been called Minnie as a pet name?
Thank s again Wendy

Hello Alistair sorry no sign of your Annie Riddell Brock I'm afraid. I searched the electoral role and whilst there are heaps of Annie Brocks' none with the name Riddell shown. I did find a death record for a Ann Riddell Taylor in 7 Nov 1973 died in Chatswood (age 90) - though not sure if this is relevant to who you are looking for. There is also John Riddell Taylor died 7 May 1984 age 79 This is the index where the 2 abovementioned death notices can be found. http://ryerson.arkangles.com/notices.php
