Got the other certificate today, its the death certificate of Henry Peasley, possibly the son of Minnie and Henry....
It has the fathers name on the certificate, Henry Peasley but not Minnies name?
Do belive it to be there son!
Will look into ordering the marriage certificate of Matthew John and Minnie.
Kind regards Tina

Thanks for the above information....
I can't remember what the last certificate that i am waiting for is, but it's either the marriage in 1923 to John Matthew or the sibling of Ivy Worth..Charles Worth?
For some reason i keep being drawn to Goldspink in Norfolk, however you did kindly find a Goldspink born in Croydon....and then i found the family in Croydon!
So i am a little confused at the moment! hehe
Kind regards Tina

Am I right in thinking we never found a marriage for Minnie to Robert Worth?
Did Ivy have any brothers and sisters? What about the Charles Worth we found?
Also regarding Charles Goldspink, this marriage ties in with what you found:
Marriages Dec 1891 Goldspink Charles Lambeth 1d 727 Lambert Clara Lambeth 1d 727
and this is a real long shot
Marriages Dec 1895 Bailey Edwin Depwade 4b 643 Bailey Georgina Depwade 4b 643 Goldspink Charles Depwade 4b 643 Grimes Charlotte Depwade 4b 643

Hi Selena,
I recieved Minnie Florence birth certificate yesterday, she is definatley the child of Henry Peasley and Minnie Peasley born in Kensington.....
I am just waiting on the last certificate now....i think that was the certificate of the son?
Also i found a family (Goldspink) that lived in Ely Road, but Charles was not part of the house hold? how strange that Charles should later live in the same road???
Thanks for all your help!!

I have been to the library and know that the family home of my grandad was the home of Charles Goldspink.
Goldspink lived there from 1919, then Charlotte was the occupant, but did not write the dates down when she took over, then my grandad took over the occupanct from 1934-1956?
i have the details of 1901 o f Charlotte she lived at home as a widow with her two children before my grandad was born, then nothing? No trace!!
Kind regards Tina

Hi Selena,
No fathers name on birth certificate...
I think she certainly gave him the adcock name because of George...
Found a Charles Goldspink in the 1901 c was married to a Clara? not sure if same goldspink...Dont think she married him, just took his name....however in 1930 she was a widow to him?
Very confused! hehe,
Thanks for your help anyway!!
Kind regards Tina x

Is there a father's name on Charles Adcock's birth certificate?
Even if George had died before Charles was born, Charlotte's name as a widow would still be Adcock. Widows don't usually revert to their maiden name.
Therefore she could give Charles the name Adock.
Here is George's marriage:
Marriages Dec 1892 ADCOCK George Croydon 2a 442 BRAMMA Charlotte Croydon 2a 442 Is this the right George? Only 28 years old and now a middle name Arthur.
Deaths Dec 1899 Adcock George Arthur 28 Croydon 2a 158
When did she marry Charles Goldspink?
You should try to find Charlotte on the 1901 and she who is with her.
Maybe get the George/charlotte marriage certificate to see their ages and fathers
Let me know if you can find anymore re 1901

Hi Selena,
Charles William Adcock, i have his birth certificate, says he was born in Croydon, Mother Charlotte Adcock, formerly Bramma, now the widow of Charles Goldspink?
Charlotte Married a George Adcock and had two sons before my Grandad was born, however George could not of been the father of my grandad as he died in 1899. I have done some research on Charlotte and it was suggested that she disowned her two sons? It has always been rumoured my grandad was scottish? and that he was adopted, im not so sure??
Do not have the marriage certificate for my Grandad however he married Ivy Worth between Apr-June 1929 in Croydon.
Hope the above helps
Thanks
Kind regards Tina

Tina, where was Charles Adcock born, what area?
Did he marry? do you have his marriage certificate? if so can you give details
I think adoption didn't become formal (legal paperwork etc) until 1927 (other members can explain it better).
Let us have the details on Charles Adock and we can take it from there.

Hi Selena,
yes it would appear that the relatives are the same as the information that i have, i am in touch with a Janice who appears to be the grandaughter of Henry Peasley....who was unaware of Minnie! Opened up a can of worms.....
I ordered 4 certificates and think i ordered that one, and cannot be sure if i did or not? if not i will for sure!!!
Selena, i was woundering if you dont mind if you could help me with a mystery.....
My Grandad Charles Adcock was born in 1901 however his birth was not registered untill 1930? Rumoured had it he was adopted, but i am not so sure? How would i go about finding out why he was registered so late, i have spoken to the General Register Office who couldnt shed any light on it?
Kind regards Tina

Well I'm glad that we got the right person. Hopefully the witnesses are relations as well to help with the tree.
I'm wondering if possibly Minnie never actually married Robert Worth?
Did you order the certificate of Minnie Peasley's marriage in 1923 Croydon? Coincidence it being near Thornton Heath.
Look forward to hearing about the next certificate(s) and see what we can do, if anything, from there.
