Syrett family in Northumberland

Thanks to those who have answered, I am wondering in particular what the relationship is between Arthur and Mary Syrett, and the Baldwin family, who were originally from Halifax, West Yorkshire. We know that in later years Thomas William Baldwin referred to the Syretts as his parents, (his real mother had died while he was an infant).This would have been some time in the 1930s.
