i'm trying to find any information on my great grandad john stewart. he came to england from the u.s.a with his parents around 1880. he's believed to have lived in philadelphia maybe even born there. he travelled from new york to liverpool, england with a dance troop with the head of the troop having the surname of stewart. his parents surname was originally major. he had a brother called joseph but its not known if he was older or younger. he married an emma daniels who was a vocalist and died 5/3/1906 aged 32 in a lancashire workhouse not knowing she was pregnant with their son(my grandad). any help would be greatly appreciated |
