I have been looking for a marriage and births of Henry Shimmins c1840 and his Wife Mary (don't know surname as yet)both from Ireland. I have the death of Henry 1888. Warrington. I have the 1881 census and I think I have the 1871 but there is a bit of conflicting info. 1881: Henry Shimmins c1840 Ireland. Residence Earlestown, Newton inMakerfield. Mary Shimmins c 1840 Ireland. Mary (Dau) 13 James (son) 1872 Robert (son) 1878 1871: Henry Skmmins c 1835. Dublin Ireland. Residence Newton in makerfield. Mary c1839. Dublin Ireland. Mary (Dau)4 John Henry Skmmins (son) 1 The name Shimmins also changes in 1911 to Skimmins for James b. 1872 and family. I know the name was Shimmins due to birth certificate of grandmother. I would appreciate any assistance on this as it is now driving me nuts! Susan Edit: Also should of added that I can not find Henry or Mary pre. 1871 and Jonh Henry that appearss in 1871 died aged 4. thanks again.
