Tracing a birth in Transvaal

I have a relative (David Rennie Malcolm Scrimgeour) born c1894 and listed in the 1901 census as being being born in Transvaal and living in Dundee with his parents and siblings, The parents and older siblings are shown in the 1891 census as living in Dundee. I cannot think of a way of finding info between the census, any suggestions welcome
