Am trying to find information on the children of Jane and Robert SCOTT (Margaret, Jane Ann, Robert, Henry & Eliza) who arrived from Greenock, Scotland as Bounty Immigrants in Port Phillip on the plague ship 'Manlius' in Feb 1842. Mother and Father died of plague either on board or in quarantine shortly after arrival. I have traced the girls to the Female Orphan School at Parramatta but the trail ends there. Have traced Henry to the Male Orphan School at Parramatta, but again nothing after this. I know that Jane Ann married in 1850 (using only Ann) but would like to know what happended in between. I would also like to know what happened to the other children. The female orphanage register contains a note 'what became of them?' although I admit it's rather late to be asking I would also like to know |
