Hi I am not one of the expert helpers on GR I am definitely a novice but my G/Grandfather was found first with spelling McKeowie By the time we had sorted census/birth/marriage out we were up to 9 different spellings( McKeon/McKone/McKowie etc) and found something saying surmane spelt 17 different ways.These spellings were on official documents so well woth trying varations.Throughtout the search we had 1 common factor my Grandmother Jane and that kept us on the right track |
