James was born at 3 Cavendish Place, Glasgow in 1887 and married Ann Johnston (mother M.S. Dalling) at Keir St, Pollokshields, Glasgow in 1920. James was a valve spring maker, Ann a boot saleswoman. When married they lived at 77 Nicholson St, Glasgow. James died aged 52 in 1939, Ann died aged 73 in 1957. They then lived at 201 Crossloan Road. James was my grandfather's brother.
