Hi Slowly unraveling the story. Have traced the undertakers who handled his funeral. They say all arrangements were handled via his brother in Dublin but wouldnt provide details.I explained that so far as I was aware he didnt have one and they didnt sound particularly surprised . They havent heard from him since .If u have access it would be interesting to find census information for prior to his birth in 1920 or any address there for him or his father John Edward Macken before they moved to england. Any further help gratefully received. Neville. |

Hi According to the Marriage Cert to Amy he was JOHN IRWIN MACKEN Aged 29 in Sept 1950 I lived in Solihull for 50 Yrs and never heard of John Joseph Macken but will look into it. I thought he was born in Mayo or that area and came over here early 1900 s Am Looking as I am told he left me some inheritance as he had no other living relatives. He always said when I Go u will be OK. But that cld be jst idle talk. |
