I have recently discovered my mother had another son after I was born but had him adopted at birth as she was then still a single mum. He was born John Ladd on 7 December 1948 in The Avenue Hospital, Bridlington East Yorkshire. I have not yet been able to find out what his adopted name is, which means I have no thread to make enquiries. I have contacted the various adoption agencies in the area and will put my name on the Intermediary Register shortly. If by any chance this man has begun to search his own history reads this, I would dearly love to make contact with you. If anyone else reading this is or was a relative of his, again I would love to hear from you. My mother, still alive at 84, thinks she remembers him being adopted by a couple from Hull, East Yorkshire, but that is not a fact just a memory. Apparently his real father was in the RAF Rescue which was based in Bridlington. |
