Trying to find out who was father of William Keal Fox, who was born Lincoln 1875 to mother Eliza Hammerton Fox. No father named on William's birth certificate so guess he was illegitimate (Eliza 17 yrs old when had him.) Could be that father surname was Keal - was it common to give father's surname as middle name in illegitimate cases? Any suggestions about what could do to try and find out as really stuck with this. Also there are places called East Keal and West Keal in Lincolnshire near where Eliza was living a t one time - - could be named after those? Can anyone help please? |
