I am trying to find information concerning an Ann Jenkins, born 4th May 1937 at 262 Vicarage Road, Birmingham. The parents given on her birth certificate are George Hollins Jenkins and Barbara Agnes Jenkins, formerly Shotton (aka Hume-Shotton).
George Jenkins was my Grandfather. He later divorced Barbara and married my Grandmother. I have only recently discovered that George and Barbara had two children: John and Ann. I have managed to find John, who was born in 1933, but he has no knowledge of a sister, Ann. I have searched all the GRO death indexes for 1937-2005 and found no matches. I had a search of the death records carried out at Birmingham Registry Office from 1937-1941, in case of any transcription errors, with no success. I have assumed that as I have been able to obtain her birth certificate she was not formally adopted. I can only assume that Ann was raised somewhere else, as her brother does not remember her, but do not know how to progress. I have copies of the marriages of several Ann Jenkins in the Birmingham area but none are correct. I have also searched the death indexes on the date of birth under any name from 1984-2005.

I would be grateful for any advice as to where else I can look for more information.
