Member Since: January 2003 Posts: 12 Send Message	Hands in Winchcombe, Gloucestershire and the Wychwood area, Oxfordshire William (Willij) Hands (sometimes Hanns) and his wife Ann (Annae) had around 11 children in Winchcombe, Gloucestershire between 1675 and 1700. One of their children was Samuel Hands, baptised in May 1688. Samuel married Francis Sutton in Winchcombe in 1712, and they had 4 children between 1713 and 1720. Did Francis then die around 1720 or 1721 ? Is Samuel the same Samuel Hands who married Jane Licence in Shipton-under-Wychwood, Oxfordshire in May 1722 ? They went on to live in Ascott-under-Wychwood and Chilson. Also, there was another Samuel Hands (of Greet, died Winchcombe 1719) and his wife Ann (probably nee Wyman, died Winchcombe 1728). Was he William Hands' brother ? If anyone is researching the Hands family or has the Parish Register for Winchcombe, please contact me.
