Gemmils in Canada

John Gemmil born in Cumnock, Scotland 1774 emigrated to Canada with his wife Ann (Weir) b. 1781 Cumnock. They had 13 children all born in Scotland and some of them emigrated to Canada with their parents in the early 1820's (or some may have emigrated independantly later). Two of the sons: John born 1813 and David born 1819 were farmers in Ontario. David Gemmil married Ann McNicholl in 1840 at Ontario and they had 5 daughters + 3 sons:
John born 1840, Alex b. 1846, Andrew b. 1855.
John Gemmil married (1) Janet Crawford and (2) Isabell Muir later in 1845 at Bathurst District. The 2nd marriage produced a a son William b. 1849 at Rosetta. William married Mary Porteous in Ontario. They had eighteen children, all born in Ontario:
Lizzieb. 1872, Bella b. 1874, Philip b. 1876, John b. 1876, William b. 1878, James b. 1879, Frank b. 1881, Ralph b. 1883, Mary b. 1885, Clara b. 1887, Arthur b. 1888, George b. 1890, Gordon b. 1891, Ethel b. 189l, Laurence b. 1893, Laura b. 1893, Grace b. 1895, Wilfred b. 1897.
The parents William and Mary remained living at Pilot Mound and died there later. William died 1926 age 77 and Mary died 1936 age 83. Two of the younger sons Gordon and Laurence served in the 1st World War. Gordon had been a jeweller and Laurence a bank worker.
My great great Grandfather William Gemill (sometimes spelling of the surname alters on records) who was born in Glasgow 1800 did not emigrate to Canada with his parents John and Anne. As they emigrated to Canada must be some living
Gemmil ancestors there who are related to me who I hope to find.
