Member Since: January 2003 Posts: 2 Send Message	i have a marriage cert for Frederick Augustas Davis (24) he was a cinema manager,address 19 Union Grove,Aberdeen his father was Snowdon Davis he was a boilermaker(jouineryman)his mother Margaret (nee Finley) was deceased.he married Jeanie Mackie Greig at st John's church on 7/8/1918 he was my great grandfather my grandfather, Edward Henry Davis got married in 1942, Frederick Davis was deceased(states on marrige cert).I then found a copy of a death certificate for Frederick Augustas Davis died 2/11/1944 cinema manager age 51 death was registerd by C.V Davis widow of the deceased, address Cliffe Rd Barton on Sea,Southampton on the 4/11/1944...Im I right in thinking it's the same Frederick Davis? if he didn't die until 1944, why on my grandfathers marriage cert in 1942 is he already deceased..and who is Catherine veronica does this ring any bells to anyone? would be grateful for any help as i am finding it difficult to trace my Davis side thanks Hellen
