Trying to find out what happened to my grandfather's family, who went to Australia before the First World War. Alexander Howard Dale and Alfred Wallace Dale went first, and were followed in 1913 on the P & O ship Ballarat by George MacPherson Dale, his wife Sarah, and daughters Eva Magdalen, Ivy Elsie, and Violet Cissy, with a May Hudson Dale who is a mystery to me! Another son, Llewellyn MacPherson Dale, was in the navy at the time and probaly settled there later. My grandfather, Val, was a marine engineer who remained based in the Uk. My late uncle, Harold Dale, visited the family in the early 1950s with his wife Vera, and I think I remember that they were in the Melbourne area. Can anyone help? |
