Hi
i have a very tall order,
i am trying to find my uncle Edward Salmon, he was born we are told 01/07/1904 his father is shown on Edwards marriage certificate as Edward Albert Salmon, unfortunatly i can't find either
as we do not know anything about Edward Albert, except he was stationed at the barracks in colchester, which as far as we know is where Edward was born, but there is no birth record of an edward salmon in colchester, the only birth i can find is in Sunderland and having sent for that certificate the fathers name is David mother Agness, but the birth date is spot on, i thought when the 1911 cencus came out i would be able to find them, , again not to be , the only Edward i found that was a possible match was a FOSTER SON birth place not known living with a James & Julia Carter & their son Arthur George, AND ANOTHER FOSTER SON William Charles Lee born Colchester.
The story re my uncle Edward Salmon is the family moved to Liverpool abt 1915 and my uncle was in the forces the only thing i know for certain is he was stationed at catterick barracks 1930 in the school of signals in the kings regiment.
all this is just incase any one recognises any of these details.
Regards
Sheila
