Thomas Burgess of Whitchurch or Overton Hampshire

Thomas Burgess was born approx. 1763 or later not sure. Went to Hampshire Records Office recently and found out that he is the father of Charles Burgess, my GGgrandfather, born 1816 in Overton. Mother was Rachel Primer.

I found 1 birth record for a Thomas Burgess in Whitchurch on Oct. 27 1776 his father is listed as William but no mother's name.

Thomas Burgess married Rachel Primer on November 9, 1819, he was a widower.

I know he had 6 children with a Rachael Simpson...could not find marriage record, but found all 6 childrens' birth records...names of children are: John 1803 (born illegitimate), William 1805, Sarah 1806, James 1807, Anne 1809, Septimus 1811. he must have married her.

Also found a death record of a Thomas Burgess in Overton on Oct. 29, 1817....at Charles marriage his father Thomas was deceased. That was in 1844. So that makes Thomas' birth in 1763. Searched in Whithchurch and Overton records could not find anything in 1763.

Can anyone help me find who Thomas Burgess' parents really are: William Burgess and ?????
