it seems to be common practice back then to name a chikld after one who had died - in my Dad's family, baby Nancy died and when the next little girl was born the children all said "We have another Nancy" so she was called Nancy too |

It's possible that she was recorded on 1901 and 1911 with husband even though she wasn't actually in the house! Wouldn't explain 2 Lucys' deaths though. I'm assuming they have same birth year parents' details on the gravestones, hence the puzzle? How did you find out about the other Lucy's burial? |

The above marriage is not the correct couple. |

This is the 1913 death I take it - the same age as you say. This is very strange isn't it. |

The other person I have been in touch with re: Bennett family has sent me a copy of the internment details which states "Lucy Bennett 46 - 21 May 1913 237 Arthur Street Aston" This is the house that 'my' Lucy's parents were living in at that time. |

Forgot to mention that when Lucy married, she married under the name of Louisa Bennett both she and William signed with the mark of a X, the registrar told me that it was quite common for spelling mistakes because the people concerned could not read or write, but the fathers details are correct for both parties, so I have got the right couple. |

This is very peculiar. Would you mind giving us details of "your" Lucy's marriage please? Could do with finding her too. |

There is only ever one Lucy as far as I can see. Is there any possible chance that your Lucy is someone else entirely?? |

Now you know how I feel,-- She was born Lucy and she died Lucy, the family never moved far except for when her parents took the family to live in Aston B/ham and this was after Lucy married. |

So, I take it you are 100% certain that her family moved to Birmingham? Going a bit mad here! |
