I'm hoping someone can help me.
I have found James Barbour (abt 1821) and Helen Coulter (abt 1826) both from Rothesay, Bute, Scotland. On a child's birth entry (via Scotlands People) it states they married in Rothesay in Nov 1848. Tried looking on the parish reg's on ScotP but no luck. They had at least 1 child there before 1855 there but I'm struggling to find them, several more were born on the mainland and I've found a few but am still hunting.

Hopefully someone out there has access to Scottish old Parish Registers pre 1855.

Generally the registration info is great, tells you so much which makes getting back easier as you know you have the right people.
