I am trying to find records of the family of Auguste LaPierre (or other spelling/combinations). Auguste stated on his naturalization papers in Victoria, Australia, in 1897 that he arrived on the 'Stella' in 1851. He also stated he was born in Bolougne, France, in 1948, so this must mean that he travelled out at the age of 3 with adults. I can find no record of the 'Stella' for that year, nor can I find any arrivals of LaPeyre, Lapierre to Victoria. I would be very grateful if anyone could help. |
