Wm Hanby Atkinson was born in Watton West Yorks c 1804 and worked as a butcher. He married Sarah Shereston from Newark, Notts. Children were Sarah jane and Thomas. Thomas married Bathsheba??X and was also a butcher. Sarah jnr married John Schofield who held a variety of jobs including victualler, fish sales merchant, butcher, gas worker! Of their children one son is Wm HANBY Schofield who lived in Manchester, and married Fanny Jobber of Willenhall, Staffs.On the 1901 census he lives with his family and his mother (still working in fish sales at 64) at? moston Hall. Has anyone else out there got any Atkinsons with hanby as a middle name, and if so, where does it come from please? |
