Thanks Victora for letting me know the numbers didn't add up!

I've checked the lists and these two were missing from the 'no relatives found' list:
Estella Jones age 57
Martha Land age 56

Also Sarah Poole (age 54) appears on both lists she should only be on the 'no relatives found' one.

Sorry, cut and paste must have included duplicate and lose!

Looking through the lists again I see that if the Meads are all related then we do, in fact, have a contact for them. In my list it only shows contact for George snr and jnr.

Post a message here *whether or not* you find a match in a GR tree, so that I can update the list on page 1, and no one duplicates.

Please do send a message to the tree owners if you find a match. There are undoubtedly lots of people who don't receive / read Hot Match messages from GR.

The only thing I would add to Victoria's revised version of the model message is that it would be wise to name the victim in question.

I just sent a PM to someone with the brother of the mother of a victim with a completely different surname in her tree. I explained how I'd determined the connection, because if the tree owner didn't know of her person's sister's marriage and children, it would have been very confusing. ;)

You need to send the data you find to me by PM.

1) Pick a name from the list that is not currently being researched by anyone else - post a note on the thread saying how you are researching

2) check CWGC for info about the victim

3) try and find DOB , place of birth of victim and any relatives

4) send PM to "Bethnal Green Tube Disaster 1943"
with the following data (or as much as you can find)

Name including maiden name
date of birth
place of birth
last known address (maybe from CWGC)
note eg Died at xxx hospital

spouse name
date of birth
place of birth

father name
date of birth
place of birth

mother name
date of birth
place of birth

siblings
name
date of birth
place of birth

5) Victoria (that's me) will enter the data into the tree on GR

6) GR will check for hot matches and Victoria will send contact meesage to potential relatives

7) You can also check for matches on GR and send message, post a note on the thread if you have done this, inparticular if you get a response.

8) Victoria will give you access to the tree if you wish to see and check the data that you have supplied

Once as much has been done to contact people as we can do, we can do another list to show which names have produced a response from PMs or hot matches. Give it a couple of days maybe.

Of the messages I've sent out (4 PMs about 3 names in trees), 3 out of 4 haven't been opened. :(
