I have been following the progress you are making and would like to say how wonderful I think you all are for all your help ,Well Done

Evelyn, they are fantastic, aren't they! Already someone has told the secretary of the Bethnal Green Trust that they've seen the thread on here. If any confirmation comes that way I'll update it here. A gt.aunt of mine has said she is a distant cousin of Elizabeth Bendon but knows no more about her. She also says that Elizabeth's friend, who was killed with her, was 6 months pregnant. How dreadful.

She doesn't think she knows any more though so her son is showing her the list today in the hope it will jog her memory (she's 91). Will update anything I find.

I can only tell you how I have been doing it When you have chosen a name put the name on the thread in Block capitals when you have finished your search you can edit on to it

Choose a name on page 1 and then go through to make sure no one else has done it. 2. Go onto the CWGC site tap in surname and restrict years to 1943/1944 ,in the last column it will say Bethnal Green or Stepney.
3.click on name and hopefully it will give you a few more details to match up.
, e.g. wife of/daughtr of/.
4. go on to freebmd and find marriage or birth
5.check trees on G.R.see if there are any matches and pm match
