ann oliver nowhere in the 1871 census

I have looked in 3 sets of census records 1861 71 81 trying to find Ann Oliver I have the birth certificate of her son Josiah Oliver in 1863 Marylebonebut I cant seem to find her with him anywhere what makes matters worse is there is no father listed for Josiah on his birth cert only the mother Ann Oliver and informant Elizabeth Smith can anyone enlighten me where else I might look Please |

Dee you have found the right Josiah I did not mention the Lane name because there is no father listed on his birth cert but when Josiah married twice it says his father was Josiah Lane, but I still cannot find any record of Ann |

birth cert says clearly Ann Oliver mother the writing is very neat and clear |

I am even more confused, more than before, it looks like Ann may have had the baby but the baby may have been Johns child and Elizabeth occupier of the house, according to the cert kept the child after Ann baptised him knowing that Ann was to young to keep him OOOHHH!!!! |

Dee try Josiah Lane as an adult that is the name he went by although he wasnt a adult then otherwise the Smith family may be the people who raised him then in that case you might find him in the census as Josiah Smith |
